Geist Software was an interesting project because it started as a simple redo of an old logo and branding and became an entire rebrand. The client on was a very well established Indian software company called - 'Meta Dia' The observant amongst you will already see the problem they were going to face when moving into a western space, especially considering that their logo was an infinity symbol. 'Geist' was a name I came to through another love of mine; philosophy - it is a Hegelian word which is used to reference - a mind that contains all minds, a kind of hive mind, this is where we get the more common word - 'Zeitgeist' - literally: 'the mind of the times.' Seemed appropriate.
